Refund Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for BGFree credit packs and monthly plans. It is a working MVP draft and must be reviewed before commercial launch.
1. Digital product nature
BGFree sells digital credits and time-limited access plans. Once a credit is used for a successful processing request, that credit is generally non-refundable unless required by law or approved by our support team due to a verified service failure.
2. When refunds may be considered
- Duplicate charges.
- Unauthorized payment claims after reasonable investigation.
- Technical failure caused by BGFree or a required third-party processor that prevented delivery.
- Purchases made in error and not yet materially used, where applicable law and payment processor rules allow a refund.
- Any situation where a refund is required by mandatory consumer law.
3. General rule for credits
Used credits are not refunded simply because the result did not match your preference. Image quality, subject complexity, and input preparation can affect outcomes. If a job fails because of a system or provider issue, the credit may be refunded automatically or manually after review.
4. Monthly plans
Monthly plans currently show 30-day validity. If a subscription model is later added or adjusted, the cancellation method, renewal timing, refund window, and proration rules must be updated here and in the checkout flow before launch. Current plan handling is [to be confirmed] for full commercial release.
5. How to request help
To request a refund review, contact [support email to be confirmed] and include your account email, order ID, approximate purchase time, and a short explanation of the issue.
6. Timing and processing
Approved refunds are typically sent through the original payment method when possible. Processing time depends on PayPal and your financial institution. Any refund timing commitments are [to be confirmed].
7. Legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law. If local law provides a mandatory withdrawal or cooling-off right, those rules control to the extent they apply.
